soon i change ISP to a uk provider than can provide 24 down and 1.3 meg upload...
its the upload speed that helps gaming espcially like ut2004 online and other online games etc.
keep you posted about this.

BE ?
anyways, you'll be on ADSL2 which means interleaved mode not fast path so you ping will probably go up.
I had this when I was on 24meg/1.3meg |

Man I was also getting this fucking fast connection, fastest one of all... But the central which the connection comes from (something like that) is to far away... So they can only promise us a 4/6 mb connection

ive been in Interleaved connection for over a year now already, it doesnt really effect anything the pings are doubled becuase of the technology but it doesnt effect online gaming. (my crap telephone line does however)
but as im moving soon ill have a better telephone line and a better ISP !
only thing is with fastpath its really great but very sensative to gliches so if theres a glich its major disconnection time.
but neverless pipex do alow you to switch some isp's dont.
but pipex isnt good enough for my online play no more so bye bye pipex.

we have a fiber backbone in place which was laid in the 90's by some big engineering companies like Marconi they call it dark fiber. Its just it was thought to be 2 expenive so they never did anything with it, it just lies there. The whole phone network here is owned by BT so our technology only progresses at the speed that those pricks allow it too.
