Ok, BB asked for it so here goes.
I'm 36 so that gives me roughly 20 years of head start in FPS games compared to some other clan members . Married with children, sw architect in a big finnish mobile maker company. Hobbies include skydiving and karting but in practice work & family life takes majority of my time so I barely got enough time even for playing UT.
I started with C64 (that 3D Star Wars game with around 5 FPS really rocked..), then moved on to PC games like Wolf3D, Spear of Destiny, all Doom versions, Heretic and so on. My first and only contact with multiplayer deatchmatch before UT came when we first tried it with Doom in a student house. I borrowed some network cards and LAN cable from my summer job, we hooked up 3 PCs and started fragging with couple of friends.
Later I played all Tomb Raider titles, Quake (with Playstation), some rally games for few years and then went back to FPS shooters with Max Payne.
My UT career started with UT2003 which I played for 2-3 months before UT2004 came out. Now I have played that for ~1,5 years, still learning (hopefully) and feeling like a n00b after our first CB matches
If anyone has ever wondered, Poppamies means "Medicine man", you know the old magic man in an indian tribe, who cures the sick, makes rain etc. I picked the name because at the time I went online with UT2003, my 1 year old son son kept telling me "poppa, poppa" while having his supper...
