Finally managed to get it to run. 9943 with CPU overclocked to 2.7. GFX card standard
Need to hit the 10k mark so have ordered quad core 2.6 which should clock to 3gig.

Your cpu should clock to 3.6 with a core voltage of bout 1.575 m8
you can push your cpu alot more tbh
Very nice score tho

LOL yeah its always hard for an outsider to understand why, you need a supercomputer that can cordinate satellites in space or calculate how much water its in the oceans...
But hell I do like the work Olly, maybe you can overtake internet or something a beautiful day
Im gonna order my computer in the very beginning of next month... so im gonna lay out soem specs about that cpu in some days olé |

My combined score 9826, SM 2.0 4634 and SM 3.0 4685 marks, CPU score 2083 marks. All with standard clocks, so no big difference there

ermm correct me if im wrong Olly ? ....
your shader model 2.0 results are always going to be 100 points lower than shader model 3.0 so thats why you never made the 10k mark !
upgrading cpu etc wont speed your graphics card results up much at all i would think !?

true but the cpu score will go up, and will get me into the 10k barrier........06 takes a score based on gfx and cpu |

Memory plays an important part as well as virtual memory too! when running 3d mark always close down and background apps etc.
Upgrading will make the difference to the scores as 06 relies heavily on cpu tests as part of the scoring process!
